CALL FOR ABSTRACT ANNOUNCEMENT

The scientific committee of the Abu Dhabi Healthcare Quality Summit 2021 is delighted to invite you to submit your abstract. This is your opportunity to make an impact with your experiences, research, tools and expertise!

Healthcare quality is care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient and equitable. With a mission to protect its patients, protect healthcare personnel and promote safety, quality and value in healthcare systems. In Abu Dhabi, the healthcare quality has been undergoing a swift movement towards raising the quality of care in the Emirate and at the forefront is The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi which aims to continue providing exceptional patient safety and overall patient experience in par with the leading international standards.

The two-day summit is a multi-disciplinary journey, focusing on exploring the key issues and latest advances in the areas of healthcare quality improvement, value-based quality care, and Research and Innovation; which aims to improve the healthcare by engaging all of its key players such as patients and healthcare professionals across a broad range of sessions and keynote lectures.

Abstracts successfully submitted by the 15 September, 2021 will be reviewed by the committee. Its intent is to be most inclusive of received submissions highlighting the following mainstreams in Healthcare Quality:

General Submission Guidelines

Deadline of Submission

      Abstracts must be submitted by 15 September, 2021

      Authors can edit their abstracts until the submission deadline. No further changes will be accepted after the date.

      The committee reserves the right to extend or shorten the date of abstract submission.

Mode of Submission

       (1) Abstracts can be submitted to MENA Conference website or (2) by email to jan@menaconference.com  following the abstract format/form.

      Abstracts received not following the standard formats will not be accepted.

Acknowledgement

      Abstract submission will be acknowledged via email. If there is no acknowledgement received within a week of the submission or if you have any additional queries, please contact jan@menaconference.com

Notification of Results

      All abstract submittees will be notified of the outcome via email on 26 September, 2021 by the Event Coordinator (jan@menaconference.com)

      The email will contain information on acceptance or rejection of abstract.

      For accepted oral presenters, the date and time of the assigned session will be communicated to you as soon as the committee has finalized the agenda.

Language

      All documents must be submitted and presented in English language

      It is the author’s responsibility to submit the correct abstract (grammatically and scientifically)

Type of Presentation

      Accepted abstracts are scheduled to be part of the scientific program following the current format (virtual) and timing will be determined by the committee

Abstract Specifics

 

      A maximum of 2 abstracts can be submitted per author

      Abstracts must follow maximum word count as indicated

      Figures and tables are not yet to be included in the submission of abstract

      Abstracts must include sufficient information for reviewers to judge the nature and significance of the topic, the adequacy of the investigative strategy, the nature of the results, and the conclusions

      The abstract should summarize the substantive results of the work and not merely list topics to be discussed

      Abstracts must contain original content to avoid plagiarism

Author

      Only the main author (1) is allowed to present the abstract at the conference

      The presenting author (main author) must be clearly marked on the submission form with his contact information

      Kindly provide up-to-date contact details and any changes in the presenter must be communicated as soon as possible to jan@menaconference.com

Presenter Information

·      Only one (main) presenter is allowed to present the abstract. Kindly make note of this for abstracts with multiple authors.

·      The selected abstract / presenter AND all authors will receive:

§  complimentary registration (virtual conference)

§  Certificate of attendance (CME certificate)

§  Appreciation certification for (main author) presenting at the conference

Abstract Review Process

Abstracts are to be reviewed by the scientific committee of ADHQS2021

Abstract Selection Process

Criteria should align the with the ADHQS mainstream, relevant and timely to the healthcare quality audience, applicable to daily work, should not advertise products and services and the content submission highlighting work in hospital and non-hospital setting, such as ambulatory care, physician practices, managed care or health plans, and behavioral health settings are encouraged.
